The technicians at Solar Panel Cleaning Service Pros never use soap to clean dirty solar panels or any other type of abrasive chemicals. Instead, we use pressurized deionized water through our quality filtration system that allows for cleaning solar panels without causing any damage to them. We place focus on using filtered water as using hard water has the potential to lead to scaling and affect electrical output, reversed polarity or even create hotspots. For our residential cleanings, we would also not want to damage any nearby landscaping or leave any residue on building walls.

Our process to clean solar panels includes a rotating pressurized soft bristled brush that is safe and effective as it removes debris without causing any damage to the solar panels. Using a direct pressure washer with wand to solar panels has the potential to peel the protective lamination found on them and can not only damage the panels, but void certain replacement warranties.

Investing in solar power comes with its necessities of maintenance just like any other large investment. How important is it to keep septic tanks in working condition? How important is it to change the oil in cars? Since solar panels work the most efficiently when it absorbs direct sun, any obstruction such as dust, pollen, animal droppings etc. can obstruct the penetration of sun to the solar panel system and has the potential to decrease power out.

Residential solar panel systems can vary due to several factors, however bi annual to annual cleanings suffice for most residential solar power systems.
